Advanced Course: Family, Couples, Divorce - Session Two

Family mediation includes a wide variety of contexts and dilemmas. This course, for experienced mediators, has eight core themes and tools to help you to deepen your skill set toward becoming a stronger and more productive mediator.

Topics:  divorcing married, unmarried separation or post- divorce conflicts for couples, including custody and child support arrangements. Memoranda of Understanding MOUs, Interim Agreements and informal agreements. Participants will work with the whole group and have sessions to work with those with similar interests.

Join a cohort of managers and supervisors from Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts and across the world in a weekly confidential cohort.  Participants receive support and insight into their workplace conflict dilemmas and utilize the case study model in an interactive and participatory process. 

This 8-session course uses the book:  Conflict Management in the Workplace: How to manage disagreements and develop trust and understanding by Shay and Margaret McConnon.

The Introduction to Mediation course is a 30-hour+ course taught in two sections.  The first 15 hours is Mediation Basics.  The second 15 hours is Mediation Qualification.  Participants who complete both sections will apprentice, if desired, with MV Mediation in order to become a qualified mediator in Massachusetts.

MV Mediation uses the CLAMSHELL model of conflict coaching. Each session will involve role playing and interactive exercises. This course will be a useful preparation class for those who want to move into learning mediation skills. Many past participants have found good use for conflict coaching approaches at work, home and in their community.

The Introduction to Mediation course is a 30-hour+ course taught in two sections.  The first 15 hours is Mediation Basics.  The second 15 hours is Mediation Qualification.  Participants who complete both sections will apprentice, if desired, with MV Mediation in order to become a qualified mediator in Massachusetts.

Conflict Coaching for Schools - Session Three

Participants in this course will learn coaching techniques to help guide individuals toward new approaches to manage conflict in everyday life. MV Mediation uses the CLAMSHELL model of conflict coaching. Each session will involve role playing and interactive exercises. This course will be a useful preparation class for those who want to move into learning mediation skills. Many past participants have found good use for conflict coaching approaches at work, home and in their community.

Workplace Conflict Management Course — Session Eight

Join a cohort of managers and supervisors from Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts and across the world in a weekly confidential cohort.  Participants receive support and insight into their workplace conflict dilemmas and utilize the case study model in an interactive and participatory process. 

This 8-session course uses the book:  Conflict Management in the Workplace: How to manage disagreements and develop trust and understanding by Shay and Margaret McConnon.

Advanced Course: Family, Couples, Divorce - Session One

Family mediation includes a wide variety of contexts and dilemmas. This course, for experienced mediators, has eight core themes and tools to help you to deepen your skill set toward becoming a stronger and more productive mediator.

Topics:  divorcing married, unmarried separation or post- divorce conflicts for couples, including custody and child support arrangements. Memoranda of Understanding MOUs, Interim Agreements and informal agreements. Participants will work with the whole group and have sessions to work with those with similar interests.

Introduction to Mediation Courses Basics - Session One

The Introduction to Mediation course is a 30-hour+ course taught in two sections.  The first 15 hours is Mediation Basics.  The second 15 hours is Mediation Qualification.  Participants who complete both sections will apprentice, if desired, with MV Mediation in order to become a qualified mediator in Massachusetts.  

SPRING 2025 SESSIONS

Section One will be held on Tuesdays from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm beginning April 1. 
There are six sessions.  All classes will be via Zoom.  
Cost is $500

SECTION ONE: MEDIATION BASICS

Session Three | Listening to the Conflict Story
April 22:
Session Four | Crafting Mediation Questions

Section Two will be held on Tuesdays from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm beginning May 13 (no class on May 20). There are six sessions. All classes will be via Zoom.

Workplace Conflict Management Course — Session Two

Join a cohort of managers and supervisors from Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts and across the world in a weekly confidential cohort.  Participants receive support and insight into their workplace conflict dilemmas and utilize the case study model in an interactive and participatory process. 

This 8-session course uses the book:  Conflict Management in the Workplace: How to manage disagreements and develop trust and understanding by Shay and Margaret McConnon.
