HOUSING PROGRAM

MV Mediation offers FREE services on housing cases. As part of the Eviction Diversion Initiative, our housing coordinators are working with other community mediation centers and organizations throughout the state devoted to helping with the housing crisis brought on by the pandemic. We can also refer you to agencies where financial support is available. We are here to help our community.

Mediation is a voluntary and confidential dispute resolution process. A mediator will help you talk with the other person and come up with a solution that you both agree on.

  • All of our mediators are state qualified and trained in housing mediation

  • We are certified in both Dukes County and Bristol County District Courts

  • We can help you come up with payment plans and resolve ongoing disputes in a neutral space

  • We can refer you to agencies that disburse funds for tenants behind in rent or homeowners behind in their mortgage

  • We offer Financial Conflict Coaching to help you learn more about your finances and how to better manage them

  • Mediation can be held by phone or video conference
